Research Proposal
My research project will be focusing around the community of United States Air Force Officers. The local community will be Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Commanders. The project will be going over important texts for officers in the U.S. Air Force such as the Airman’s Creed, and the United States Constitution among other things. I will be going over the importance of such a career in the military, and the process of becoming an officer. I will also be interviewing an active duty captain that has served in a combat related position. I was inspired to write about this topic because I someday hope and plan on becoming an officer in the United States Air Force.
An officer, right away is in charge of all enlisted personnel under them. Someone in this career field has to be ready to communicate, organize, and execute missions effectively. They are in charge of making sure everything goes the way it needs to in the case of those who fall under their command. They also need to make sure they are looking out for those under them and providing assistance in times of need. An officer has many roles including but not limited to: counselor, organizer, and executive. My research question is; How often does an officer in the United States Air Force refer to the Airman’s Creed for guidance?
